Mr. VoVillia was born April 20, 1858, in Oberlin, O. He was employed as a carpenter for some time after retiring from farming in 1921. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, West First Street, Royal Oak. Burial will be in the Meade Cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Meta; three children, Harold E., of Grand Rapids, Aura J., of New Haven, and Mrs. Mildred Warner, of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Anna James, of Gary, Ind. and five grandchildren. A resident of Sugarbush road in Chesterfield township, Mr. Vovilla is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Fox Vovilla; three sons, Bruce of Pontiac, Elton in the armed forces overseas, and Keith, 7, at home; his mother, Mrs. Meta Vovilla of Royal Oak; one sister, Mrs. Walter Warner of Detroit, and a brother Harold of Grand Rapids. The body is at the Hubbard Funeral Chapel, pending funeral arrangements, which will be announced tomorrow. "Monitor Leader - February 8, 1945"
